Concept art now online for Fire And Ice
The concept art Robert Rodriguez displayed for Fire And Ice at Comic-Disadvantage has made an appearance online. The director has teamed using the estate of fantasy artist Frank Frazetta to make a live-action undertake Fire And Ice, that was already the topic of a 1983 animated film. Rodriguez stated he wants the film "to seem like you simply walked into among his works of art, where you're able to see his world, and just how he saw people, anatomy, and composition and colour.&rdquo &ldquoIt will seem like it's real, although not real. It will be his reality. He saw things in a different way. He colored from his imagination. He did not have a photograph and merely fresh paint it," he told Entertainment Weekly. The official synopsis for that film displays the plot: from his stronghold in Ice Peak, the evil Nekron transmits forth a wave of deadly glaciers, forcing humanity to retreat to fireplace Keep - a kingdom ruled through the generous king Jarol. When the king's daughter Teegra is kidnapped, the youthful warrior Larn joins using the mysterious and legendary Dark Wolf to save her and also the realm from Nekron&rsquos evil sorcery. Children's Musicals Find a Happy Home in New York
NEW YORK (AP) — The crowd attending a hit musical recently on the Upper East Side weren't shy about loudly offering their thoughts. "What are they doing?" asked one. "I want to dance," said another. And, most worrisome for producers, one patron was heard offering this critique: "I want to go home." She was, it turned out, in the minority. She was also about 4. The rest of the theatergoers — mostly little girls in pink tutus and rabbit ears — were happily bouncing about and clapping along to "Angelina Ballerina: The Musical," one of several kid-orientated musicals based on popular children's books that have found success in New York City. There's also "Pinkalicious: The Musical" and "The Berenstain Bears Live! In Family Matters, the Musical," which share the same space on the Upper West Side. In November, "Freckleface Strawberry: The Musical" — based on the book by actress Julianne Moore — returns after a successful off-Broadway run this spring. "We have seen a tremendous increase — especially in the last eight or nine years — in works for young people around town," says Cora Cahan, president of The New 42nd Street, a nonprofit organization that is responsible for reviving 42nd Street and operates the New Victory Theater, the city's first and only full-time performing arts theater for kids and their families. New musicals based on kids' books are a hot trend elsewhere, including "Harold and the Purple Crayon" at Seattle Children's Theatre, and the upcoming adaptation of "Pippi Longstocking" planned by the Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis. Transforming popular children's' books into musicals — as opposed to making them up from scratch — has some advantages, namely in immediate brand recognition, tried and tested stories, and parents who grew up on the books and want to pass that love down to their kids. That's how Matt Murphy, a producer of the Tony Award-winning "Memphis" and the off-Broadway hit "Altar Boyz," ended up bringing the Berenstain Bears to Manhattan. A fan of the book series, Murphy helped produce an early version that toured the country before he led an effort to beef up the script, set and songs for New York. "We're bringing the production quality to this show that I would bring to any of my Broadway shows," says Murphy, a new father of daughter Hazel. "And because our show is not going to cost parents an arm and a leg the way a Broadway show would, it seems to be a nice fit for an affordable family outing." Stephen Sunderlin, the artistic director and founding member of the nonprofit Vital Theatre Company, which is producing the Pinkalicious and Angelina musicals, says the shows' lengths are kid-friendly — usually an hour — and usually are the first piece of theater that children see. "There's something about being in a room with people and watching your child experience live theater," he says. "I can't tell you how many parents say they love our shows but they love watching their kids watch the shows more." Rose Caiola, the producer and co-book writer of "Freckleface Strawberry: The Musical," says the theatrical shows get kids excited about seeing their favorite characters and make parents happy since they reinforce the books' feel-good messages, in her case the anti-bullying moral of Freckleface Strawberry. "Children can already connect with stories that they know and love. So they're very excited and interested to see their characters come to life on stage," she says. "So much of what kids see on television, unfortunately, is a little bit mind-numbing." More musicals and book adaptations are on the way to the city thanks to New Victory, whose upcoming season includes a theatrical adaptation of Mark Twain's "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer," the U.S. premier of a musical based on the children's book "The Terrible Plop" and the New York premiere of "Lucky Duck," a musical with a score by Henry Krieger, who wrote the songs for "Dreamgirls." The New Victory was founded in 1995 and its leaders see the recent surge in children's' theater productions in the city as the result of their efforts to attract interesting works for kids from across the globe. "We think maybe and possibly we have helped encourage others to do works for young people where others dared to venture before the New Victory," says Cahan. "We're finding there's a tremendous appetite." Along with the New Victory, changes the city itself has undergone have made children's' programming more attractive — crime rates have plummeted and neighborhoods such as Times Square and the Lower East Side, once seedy parts of town, have been cleaned up and transformed into booming commercial zones. "Maybe I'm naive, but it seems to me like there's an effort to make the city more and more family-friendly," says Murphy, who is producing the Berenstain Bears musical at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, near Central Park and Columbus Circle. "Where young families used to feel like, 'OK, we have kids. It's time to move out into the suburbs,' now there are more and more families trying to make a go of it in the city proper. And I think in part due to that, you're seeing a real desire for family entertainment." Mary Rose Lloyd, the director of programming at the New Victory, also sees artists turn their attention to children's theater for personal reasons. "Artists are having children of their own and they're looking around and saying, 'I don't want to take my child to that. I need more Barney on Ice like I need a hole in my head.'" Creators of children's' programming all agree on the long-term value of introducing live theater to young people: Today's squirmy toddlers watching adults dressed as mice sing will one day be eager to catch a Broadway show — or even write one. "When we hear statistics where there's now two generations of kids going through some public school systems without any contact with the arts, it's unfortunate," says Sunderlin, whose theatre company has a vibrant education wing. "So we're trying to do our part, kind of making sure folks stay engaged in some kind of art form." The producers also stress that a key to the success of children's theater is to never forget one important demographic: the parents. Clunky songs, halfhearted performances, poor production values or endless repetition are as popular with adults as being smacked over the head with a squeaky hammer. The music score in the movie The Social Network (2010)?
What do you think about the music written for the movie? What kind of
music instrumentation they have used? Do you think you can explain the
characteristics and nature of the music? For example I know the genre
is dark-ambient? What's that? If you know the music technicality well,
that would be appreciated. How do you think the music enhanced the
movie.
I have to write a two page paper about the score of the movie the
social network and how it has enhanced the movie and I am not a music
major and really have very little knowledge about music, except for

Making it in the LA film industry as a Canadian?
I am a 23 year old Canadian trying to begin a career in the film
industry. As far as I have read about beginning a career in the film
industry is that production assistant jobs are the way to start. (I
have worked as an extra on many films/tv as well as Interned in
television production for 8 months) Those jobs however are proving to
be few and far between in Toronto. I would love to take a risk and
move to LA to really get my hands dirty, but I wonder what the success
rate is of a Canadian relocating to Los Angeles for work. Is a work
VISA difficult to acquire? Will production companies hire Canadians if
there are US citizens capable for the job? How long can one live in a
US city as a Canadian? Being from suburban Ontario it is hard to get
answers to these questions because most people just arent interesting
in this kind of career! Any input or advise would be greatly
appreciated!

www.gamezplay.org - Launched by The Bearded Ladies in February of
this year, the Gamocracy project invited Playstation Community
members to design and vote on ideas for all aspects of an upcoming
game. After a development cycle bursting with unique ideas, "Legend
of Robot" marks the first complete Gamocracy project --- an original
game designed entirely by the EU Playstation community! "Legend of
Robot" is a fantastic platformer with colourful characters and some
never before seen game mechanics. You are cast as "H7'', an
alien-robot drone originally created to enslave mankind. However,
this particular specimen suffers from a bug in his anti-empathy
circuits, driving him to escape his alien masters. Using twisted
mechanics, such as throwing your own head to use as a platform or
weapon, you must fight your way through the invading alien forces to
gain your true freedom - and possibly save the Earth while you are at

i bought an album by a band called chapter 3 "ramble away" i would like to know more.?
at a car boot sale yesterday i came across an album by a band called

condition. the guy who i bought it off said it could be worth quite a
